I'm talking 100A range, maybe more. When I search "high
current inductor" at distributors, I'm getting product lines
that top out about 30A. I figure at <100kHz this means
inductors the size of my fist, not surface mount.

DC-DC application, boost converter taking 400V @ 100A
up to 800V @ 50A.

Who's good in "big iron", off the shelf, these days?

I'm not so familiar with US market, but I don't expect that you'll get off the shelf parts in this power class.

Hi dick_freebird
A question : how many of these inductors are you looking for ?
I mean if the required inductors are not too many why you don't make them yourself ?
Best Wishes
