cadence 610

So, far, I have not seen any PDK released for Cadence 610 (except Cadence GPDK).
Note that I mainly work with TSMC and some other famous foundries.

Who is using Cadence 610 ? Which company ?

convert cadence 2005 to 2008 cdb to oa

PDK is the issue!

No IC6+

Will take years to transfer the PDK customization, not the library!

ic61 techfile

What is the difference between Cadence 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 :?:

cadence version 6.1.2 ads

tsmc0.18->cdb2oa. While only so.

ic61

The reason is that IC 6 uses openAccess and not CDBA as in the previous versions.

So it will take some time to transfer the pdk's to the new environment.

For practice cadence's gpdk is good.

I had another question :
Can IC610 read database generated by IC5141 ?
or there exist tools to transfer IC5141 database to IC610 ?

Yes... after properly installing cadence you get the tool cdb2oa. You can follow the instructions from this website to convert your libraries...

AMS says PDK ready 6.10

many companies using IC61. All foundaries have OA techfile available. IC61 has provided many useful features which were not present in IC51.

SMIC provided 0.18/0.13um PDK of OA version which could be used for IC610. I think TSMC or other big fabs could provided it too.
But IC610's database is not compatible with IC5x. That is the key problem.

Hi okguy, may you tell me the way of ic610 indtallation and user environment setting in c-shell. it is very urgent for me. Lot's of thanks in advance.

You're asking a lot here. I recommend the "Cadence Installation Guide".

I work with several foundries, including TSMC, and I have not seen any OA PDK.
Which foundries do you mean ?

Rgds,
Laurent

OA is future, CDB is now. But, CDB can be convertered to OA by tools in IC61 platform. I like IC5141.

Note that there was a database revision between IC611 and IC612 which means that once you've moved. You can't go back. But that should not in practice be a problem, except it means that all users looking at whatever database you're producing will need to be using IC612 or later.
