Which program easy, flexible and useful for programming Microchip PIC?

I use FlowCode program for programming PICs, but I need another program more flexible and fully control for programming PICs???

Anyone can help me?

my problem is in connecting two PICs with each other using UART, I tried Proton BASIC but I couldn't find the right way?
what can I do now??
