which one is right & which one is wrong ?

1) 1 phase AC motor speed is controlled by controlling voltage & current of motor supply.

2) 1 phase synchronous AC motor speed is controlled by controlling frequency of motor power supply.

All other things being equal, 1 is wrong and 2 is right.

An AC motor speed is proportional to the AC frequency powering it. If the voltage/current is dropped, the motor will still try to turn at the same speed but it's power output will be less. Depending on load, this might cause it to slow down.

Re: which one is right & which one is wrong ?

The same is for Brushedless DC motor ..... same controlling principle ?

Can single phase Ac motors be synchronous & Asynchronous ? If yes , then , the controlling principle would be remain same ?
