Which is faster: amd 64 3800+ or amd x2 3800+ (duo core)?

which is faster?

when running single task (mainly eda tools) , which is faster: amd 64 3800+ or amd x2 3800+ (duo core) assume using same type of memory, need all your comment, thanks.

Hi,
Dual core definately, personally im running the exact same processor and it whips ass. My rig AMD 64x2 3800+ 1Gb DDR533 500Gb HDD whips the intel dual core with the same ram and HDD with approx 10-15%. And the AMD chips are a lot cheaper and cooler.
