Hi. I've been interested in building circuits involving radio (control, communication, etc) and I was wondering where and how I should learn to do it. Are there any places (websites/books) where circuit schematics and advice on building these devices are located?

hello,
there are websites which explaining them all,but if you tell us more about what exactly you are looking, its easy for us to direct.

Buy/borrow/steal the "ARRL handbook"!

Although it's published every year (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/2014-Handboo...&qid=1409801470&sr=8-1&keywords=ARRL+handbook), there's a large amount of information (> 95%?) recycled between subsequent editions. Any edition later than ~1990 will likely be an invaluable source of (contemporary?) practical project/component/background information.

As a personal aside: The 1989 edition changed my life as a teenage lad fascinated by radio. I read it cover-to-cover over the years, and dogeared and yellowed it still sits on the shelf behind me and gets referred to every now and then. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!
