Kick Start IrDA

Hi,
I need to learn and implement a wireless system for my microcontroller based project. I choose IrDA, but I know almost nothing.

How would I start? Where would I get IrDA specifications for free?

I got MCP2150 for this project. Is there any sample program or project implementation with this hardware stack?

Thanks in advance.

u can easily find a good progarm in www.8052.com, even once u should go through datasheet without using others program blindly.
