So far I have programmed only Microcontrollers.
Wish to start PC programming.
Wish to start by doing a front end application to send data and receive data though serial port to and from a Microcontroller .
After long searches I decided to try and start with Visual C.
Gathering books and softwares to start study. Please link me books to start Visual C. ( is C++ and Visual C are same? )
What I have with me is Visual Studio Enterprize edition 6. I have installed VB6 and VC using that CD.
is anything else(software) required for doing serial port control with VC?
Please link books to start with.
