HELLO ENGINEERS, just working on astable multivibrator and the basic circuit designed needed to be simulated but am only have MULTISIM to do that. well i did for monostable and obviously we all the input pin to LM555timer can simply be tied to a pull-up resistor and the signal can then be sent via pin2. but as for the astable, its confusing since both the input pin 2 and the threshold pin6 are tied together. where and can one send the enable signal to test if the circuit is working or not? using multisim platform.:-?

thanks in advance

Pin 4 is the reset pin if you are using a standard DIL package. Putting it in a reset state will stop the oscillation. An astable circuit desn't normally have an input pin as such because by it's nature, it's a signal producing circuit.

Thank U but am still very much new to this platform of circuit forum except if u gonna give me clue on how to share my questions and answers with on Edaboard.

thanks for the obs
