I have a .40 hp pump that drives my aquarium filtration system. Unfortunately, this pump cannot run dry without overloading. On average it draws 2.5 amps, but will fail well below what it can draw from the power circuit.
Assuming a 5 amp maximum, is there a compact device that I can plug inline with the pump and the outlet that will shut off the power? Maybe some type of simple fuse device.
