Whenever we are writing research papers for journals. How to give numbering for authors. Usually as per as I know, there is no numbering for authors, when they are from same institution or same organization for contributing to the same work.

When two authors are from different institutions or different organizations for contributing to the same work, then we have to give numbering 1, 2 like that.

If three authors are from different institutions or different organization, then we have to give numbering as 1,2, and 3.

Can you clarify my query.
