Hello,
We want to put a little BJT current limiter on a PCB and wire it in to our circuit. We are severely height limited, so the PCB cannot be very thick.
Do you know what is the smallest thickness generally available?
It only needs one, or just a half ounce copper.
There will be no drills.
It'll only be about 3cm by 2cm

Treez i have experience minimum 0.5mm thickness PCB with 1/2 OZ copper, even lesser 0.2mm PCB also available. Flexible PCBs having much better thickness.

My preferred prototype PCB maker offers 0.3 and 0.5 mm thickness.

Question is how you handle the boards. 20 x 30 mm calls for panelized assembly, boards should be rigid enough to be suited for it. I would always choose the board thickness from a production perspective.

If you are asking about a small quantity prototype fix, everything goes.

The thickness of the board is generally determined by the printed circuit board you want to produce. The higher the layer, the thicker the board.
