The CMOS VCO has a 1.8V power supply. And it's working in a current-limited regime. The DC current is set to 8mA for the oscillator. We got 5GHz oscillating frequency and -126dBc/Hz phase noise at 1MHz offset.

Then the single-ended output power level is 3.5dBm. Is that reasonable?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Sapphire,

Your result for VCO output power is very good if you obtain 3.5dBm or 2.2mW from about 14mW input or 15% effiency.
