ADC 0809 Accuracy

What is the lower limit of the Vref voltage used as the reference for the ADC.
Lowering the Vref increases the accuracy (less voltage difference per quantised step) but there must be a limit on the accuracy.

Re: ADC 0809 Accuracy

you can not increases the accuracy of ADC0809 by lowering the Vref.

Re: ADC 0809 Accuracy

But why? Vref is divided into 256 steps. Lower is Vref, smaller is the step and there is an increase in accuracy.

I used to do this but we can not descrease Vref to too low voltage because of non-linear and noise effect.

Re: ADC 0809 Accuracy

Any reference from any datasheet?
I need exact specifications. Please help.

ADC 0809 Accuracy

The accuracy and reference voltage are different issures for A/D converter. The accuracy of ADC0809
is 1.5 LSB.
