If I make a stripline track with ground plane above and below it and then pour ground at its right and left side, it becomes similar to coplanar waveguide with ground, except that it is not microstrip but stripline. How do we call such track, and how is the performance on EMI and noise reception? How do we calculate its impedance?vfone said:http://www.jlab.org/accel/eecad/pdf/050rfdesign.pdf
Thank you for the information. From the book Coplanar waveguide circuits, components, and systems section 1.2, there mentioned several types of CPW, but all of them are microstrip (top or bottom layer). Is it uncommon to have stripline for transmission line?flyhigh said:Hi
There are few reference books that are dealing with your problem:
Terry Edwards –
Foundations of Interconnect and Microstrip Design, 3rd Edition, John Wiley & Sons, 2000
K.C. Gupta, Ramesh Garg, Inder Bahl, Prakash Bhartia –
Microstrip Lines and Slotlines, Second Edition, Artech House, 1996
Rainee N. Simons –
Coplanar Waveguide Circuits Components and Systems, John Wiley & Sons, 2001
