what's the difference between VCS and VCSi ?

i think mxi is the sub-set of mx. just like pe & se of modelsim.

AFAIK, VCSi is a *much slower* version of VCS but with all features - meant for educational institutes, consultants etc. (Same for MX)

difference between vcsi and vcs

VCS and VCSi are identical with the exception that VCS is more highly optimized, which results in greater speed for RTL and mixed-level designs. Pure gate-level designs run with comparable speed. VCS and VCSi are guaranteed to provide the exact same simulation results.
