PSD & MCU Port

Hello!!

what is the difference whit the I/O port of MCU P1,P3,P4 and the I/O port OF PSD PortA, PortB,PortC, PortD..

Can help me please??

I'm using uPSD3334D of ST

Re: PSD & MCU Port

They are basicly I/O ports. The difference is that P1,P3,P4 are directly attached to the MCU (8051) and the PA,PB,PC,PD are the output of the PSD unit which includes a PLD with macrocells, and several other data/control lines.

P1-P4 have different functions such as serial ports, SPI. While PA-PD includes other "less" standard functionalities as JTAG.

You can find more info on the st web.
