What is Displacement ?

Whats the difference between a capacitors displacement vs a inductors displacements?

Is Displacement and Phase the same thing?

What is Different from Displacement vs phase?

Re: What is Displacement

no,displacement and phase r totally different thing.phase is related to angular displacement ,so related with angle whether lag or lead.

Re: What is Displacement

capacitors have current displacement and inductors have voltage displacement
what is the difference?

what is this current and voltage displacement?

Re: What is Displacement

FOR A CAPACITOR
before maxwell,s period it was only one current that as conduction current (due to free electrons).but maxwell found current is due to free elctrons and as immobile electrons available inside insulator.

I=I(COND)+I(DISPLA)
above said concept valid for time varying fields only

I HOPE IT MAY BE HELPFUL 2 U
