What're advantage & disadvantage between transmiting signal as Analog & Digital on line and in space?

If you use wireline, you need a wire , but if you use a good wire, your attenuate will be smaller. You can shield the wireline, you don't able to shield the space.
So, less disturbance in the case of wireline.
