The VLSI is faded to another Moore's law. The physical technology has proven we need even more reducing size, but the bottleneck is not over processor, but inside items such as memory wall, compiler tools, improving OS and so on. People believe in increase the processor speed and reducing the area. We have reached a great success on it, however, another outlines must be reviewed, detailed, in order to reach another tech revolution, another Moore's law. A great example that improved the speed up performance of computers is the solid state drive. Scientists will figure out the future of VLSI Engineers.
