VGA control range

Hi,
I wonder what specifications of the receiver determine the VGA control range?

Thanks.

VGA control range

the input signal range and the signal range ADC can linearly processed together determine the dynamic range of your whole receiver, including RF VGA and IF VGA, and some other variable gain blocks.

hope it helps!

Added after 1 minutes:

and always, a relatively large gain range is located at the IF VGA for design consideration.

VGA control range

I guess it should be the difference of 1dB compression point power level to the sensitivity level

not sure

The input range of VGA. because you should get a fixed value ouput of VGA.
So the input signal will decided the gain of VGA.
