UART - Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (Asynchronous Only)
USART - Universal Synchronous Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (Synchronous & Asynchronous)

Hi,

A simple google will tell you all about USART in general terms, Wiki for example.

For more specific advice you need to say what you are using - Assembler , C , Basic, Pic , Atmel etc etc ...

usart protocol

hey i didn´t find anything on google i could use, tryed wiki, if any of you have any good links ??

the UART/USART is for communicating between a RS485 transciever / reciever and a AT90CAN from Atmel. I am programming in assambler !!

at90can usart
