Any application that requires the processing of differential voltages in the presence of high common mode voltages or lousy power supply regulation. For example, a differential amplifier that receives its input from another subsystem whose ground (common) is not the same voltage as the ground of the subsystem that contains the differential amplifier.

Another example are batery operated systems. Alkaline and rechargeable bateries actually are of different voltage (1.5V vs 1.2V).
We want good PSRR to enable them to have same performance with different battery types and remainning charge.
