Hello every body
what is the relation between the noise variance and the average power in the noise??

Re: A question

noise variance is the average noise power.

Re: A question

Thank you
But is there any formula shows that, or the derivation of this result.

A question

It is here,

read about autocorrelation and power spectral density, regard tha it is white noise, i am not sure if this rule is valid for other types of noise

Re: A question

Hi,
The word Variance means the average power and it is used for both signal and noise.
