What is the "IS 95 CDMA Modem"

Please let me know waht is the "IS 95 CDMA Modem", its basic logic of working and where it is used.

Is-95 system define a 1.25 Mhz band of frequency that allows multiple access on same frequency at same time by special coding of different users. THis type of modulation is called DS-CDMA. IS-95 CDMA system include cellular network consisting of base stations and mobile phones. IS-95 sysytem has dual capability. It allows for both CDMAmobile radio and AMPS to access system
