Regarding ModelSim

Hi,

modelsim.ini file is System Initialization or Project file; stores library locations, simulator resolution, paths, etc.

Hope it helps

Regarding ModelSim

Hi,

Would there be an .ini file for each project that we open in modelsim?

Re: Regarding ModelSim

No its not seperate for every project but u can modify it.

When u open modelsim in perticular working directory the .ini (default) will be copied ..

If u want u can change it and u can add new libraries also..

Re: Regarding ModelSim

it is the file which contains the initial condition values...
vhdl, verilog version used

project settings, all the library file locations used...
it may be work, unisim, simprim etc..
we can change and add on our requirements..that any logical library we can map by changing this name

It can be, if you import library to ModelSim from a project through GUI, then there will be another .ini file generated unter your working directory. Next time, when you creat a new project, ModelSim will ask you which .ini file you are going to use, the default one, or the one in your working directory.
