The second page of the following link gives simple explanation of both parameters, https://www.mhprofessional.com/downloads/products/0071625534/0071625534_chap01.pdf and the tenth chapter of Balanis Modern antenna Handbook gives few relations for ka factor to antenna performance parameters..!!
