What is the difference between TMDS and LVDS signal ?

Hi dear all,
I could see many LVDS repeater, fan out buffer and multiplexer ,
but I can't find these chips used on TMDS signal ......

Could you tell me the difference .

If I use LVDS repeater, fan out buffer and multiplexer on TMDS signal,
could or could not ?

At the moment I'm unaware if TMDS is required to use LVDS compatable voltages, so far I dont think it is.
