What is the differance between dB and dBM ?

Hi,

dB is a relative measure of two different power levels.
On the other hand, dBm is absolute since its reference value is constant and equal to 1mW. (0dBm = 1mW)

dB = 10*log(P1/Pref )
dBm = 10*log( P1/1mW )

dBM does not exist, it is dBm
