hi everybody!

i would like to know what is the best way to made a 24 GHz microstrip antenna.
how to feed it.

thanks a lot

Re: 24 GHz antenna

Do you mean a patch antenna? If yes, then I would propose to use the lowest Er substrate you can find (Ultralam2000 from Rogers would be a good candidate). I've done a prototype patch antenna for 20GHz, fed by coax line.

24 GHz antenna

an air loaded patch would work well to, very low loss and a little higher bandwidth.

Re: 24 GHz antenna

yes i mean 24 Hz patch antenna. i make a prototype with Rogers 5880 εr=2.2 fed by a microstrip line . but now i want to made a 2*8 in a array.

where i can found literrature about arrays, rules etc.

thanks

Re: 24 GHz antenna

i design my antenna with IE3D and i would like to feed it with a microstrip line but it isn't possible for me to math it because i found for Zin antenna a complexe Z. i want to match it to 50Ω. how can i do.

is the minimum on S(1,1) dB graph(resonant frequency) is the point who Z=R on a smith graph ?

thanks for yor help.
