What is the best way to generate 32x256 SRAM ?

memory organization

I use memory compiler to generate SRAM. it can only generate bit-width of 8, 16,32,64,128. I want a memory of 32x256, is it better to generate two 32x128 or thirty-two 32x8, or sixteen 32x16, or four 32x64? why?

It depends on your area vs speed tradeoff.

smaller rams are faster but take more area, larger rams are economical on area, but are slower.

in SMIC0.18, larger rams have higher utilization of storage resourse while not suffer from the speed tradeoff as i know
