what is the best software tool to work with Xilinx CPLD??

Ive already tried WEBpack ISE from Xilinx site. Ok to the schematic entry level system. But the MODELSIM simulator simply sucks! I have to edit manually all HDL files to generate a long simulation run. The HDLBencher locks my computer every time!! (My comp is ATHLON XP2000 with 512MB DDR, shouldn´t lock this one!!)

Im simulating a very lengthy state machine, about 26mS of vectors with 5nS resolution. Im not able to work with this HDLBencher. I ´ve worked with ALTERA MAX+ before and is far better from Xilinx tools. The problem with ALTERA devices is price (too high) and availability.

Anyway, what is the best tool to work with these chips???
