What is the advantage/disadvantage of putting ferrite bead on Input power supply Gnd and board gnd ?
 

Advantage: it will suppress the high frequency noise in the path of signal.It can be seen with cables as shown below....

Also when you are making common ground for analog and digital, ferrite bead is used to reduce noise....

Hi Sivamani
Ferrite beads and low value inductors which are in series with the main line usually are being used to suppress high frequency waves through the line . ( it can be considered as a poor EMI filter too )

I have heard somewhere that they are poor at withstanding thermal shocks (changes in temperature).
