hi

What is spatial multiplexing ?

Why coding is not required in BLAST(Bell Layered space time) model in MIMO?

Difference between Flat fading and Frequency selective fading?

What is pros and cons of SISO(single input and single output) system?

Please help me .....

Re: MIMO ...

What is spatial multiplexing ?
MIMO data rate = (spatial multiplexing) * SISO Data Rate

Difference between Flat fading and Frequency selective fading?
Flat Fading: Channel Freq. Response is flat over signal bandwidth. So all frequencies encounter the same gain.
Freq. Selective: Some frequencies may be amplified and some of the may be attenuated. Since signal came from different pathes channel behave similar to an FIR filter.

What is pros and cons of SISO(single input and single output) system?
SISO: Less is complex but MIMO can give more data rate or more robustness against fading.

Wireless Communication, Tse, is one of the best references on the subject.
