What happens if current flows the wrong way in unipolar hall sensor?

What happens if the unipolar version of the ACS770LCB-050U hall sensor gets current flowing through it the “wrong way”? The datasheet doesn’t say.

Your question could be interpreted two ways....

If you mean reversing the main dc power supply and ground power pins, then your chip probably is toast.
If you mean reversing current being sensed by the Hall sensor, then it drives the output in the opposite direction.
If its set up for unipolar output, the output just clips off at minimum, but no damage will occur.
