Re: RFID

RFID is a radio frequency identification. It is a wireless identification system consisting of tags with unique identity and the readers. The reader reads the tags within its range and identifies them..

RFID

My stitute use RFID for library , be use "stiker technic" . I think that RFID better than Barcode.

Re: RFID

it is radiofrequency identity card it has a small resonant circuit which is excited by the identifier machine which excites the circuit to find its radiofrequency component and to find the person corresponding to it....

Re: RFID

well it stands for radio frequency identification, here radio freq. is used to identify, locate n track assets, animals n objects, the whole RFID sys. contains 3 major components (Tag, antenna n reader)

RFID

yeah all the above describes the system well and for an addition there are two types of it: first is passive which need no power on tag (only on reader) and takes its power from the recieved signal , and second is active which needs an onboard power suplly at the tag and this makes tags transmission more powerfull and tag can do more processing like grabbing room temperature using attached sensors and sending it along with the tag ID.

RFID

Microchip make RFID devices and their website contains a lot of useful information including sample reader circuit schematics.

How far the range? Thanks.

RFID

der is a tradeoff between range and cost..
normal read range varies with d frequency on which u r operating
with increase in frequency d penetration power decreases but higher data rates can be achieved

for 13.56 mhz d read range is 2 to 24 inches
