metal change

Hi,

What exactly does the term "metal change" mean? Can anyone elaborate more on this subject.

Thanks !!

Metal Change

when you find your design is messed up, and you find you can fix it by change one metal layer to connect some device or disconnect them from your circuit.

then you do a metal change, and save money not taping out 20 layer masks again.
