Hi
what does linearity and dynamic range in filters,i saw a statement tht SC filters offer good lineaity and dynamic range, what does they mean.

Re: linearity

linearity means your filter work in that rang linearity and produce output as a linear function of input
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The dynamic range of a signal processing system can be defined as the maximum dB level sustainable without overflow (or other distortion) minus the dB level of the "noise floor''.

Similarly, the dynamic range of a signal can be defined as its maximum decibel level minus its average "noise level'' in dB. For digital signals, the limiting noise is ideally quantization noise.

Re: linearity

hi,wht does noise floor mean,u definitely made me think.byeee

Re: linearity

in this case it can be quantization error. but in another case like BER diagram it's it means the smoothing the BER from a specific SNR to more.
