What do AREF and SREF stand for ?

i am studying drc&lvs tools.there is two abbreviation --AREF & SREF in the docs.

any body knows the meaning of the two words ?

SREF and AREF are basically used for planarity repairing in the GDS like for reducing the GDS space of the design by using the concept of array referencing instead of flat instantiations.
