offset voltage

hello,

i'm analyzing 741 Op Amp. i'm having problem at the offset voltage.
my offset voltage is quite large 16mV as compared to the datasheet, it should be max=6mV.
i already check the matching currents and they match.
what are other possibilities that contributes to my large offset value?

offset voltage

where did you use 741 for?

Re: offset voltage

1. It is possible that the 741 you are using is not from the vendor of the data sheet.

2. Try another one and see if the offset is the same or better.

3. The input bias current flowing through the resistors connected to the input will add to the offset.

I think your circuit is wrong. Check again!!!

Re: offset voltage

Did you follow the application note for the input biasing?

i'm testing the offset voltage for the 741 Op amp and i use the input bias in the datasheet.
maybe flatulent is right, that the circuit i'm using is not exactly the same as in the data sheet.
i'll check it out.
thanks guyz.
