There is very useful topic below: “Salaries in Europe”.
Next step – to get what is Saving?
For example Salaries in UK about US$ 2,000…4,000 per month and Accommodation you must pay from received Salary, it is about $600…900 per month. Plus taxes is …, Liv-ing/day is … and so on. As result from for example US$ 3,000 per month you get net less then US$ 1,000 per month.

What are wages, taxes, living cost and Saving around the globe?
Let us make comparative study.

I have some data regarding South Korea:

- Wages: around US$ 2,000…3,500 per month.
- Taxes: 6.78% per m during first 5 years according to Korean taxation Law for Foreigner.
- Accommodation is free (provided by a company).
- Living/day is about $10…$20. Usualy Living/m is less then 20% of a salary.
- Example: Saving is more then $2,000/m at a salary $3,000/m.

If you like – use a form below:

Re: What are wages, taxes, living cost, Saving around the gl

Let me explain regarding Japan and India Geo.

In Japan : (approximate numbers)
- Wages: around US$ 5,500-7,000 per month for 5 yrs experience engineer.
- Taxes:
1) 10% IT every year.
2) 10-15% (depends on ward you stay)on taxable income (net income minus housing cost) for Local Tax and Social insurance.
- Accommodation 20-25% of salary. Minimum housing rent starts from 1200$ for reasonable stay.
- Living/day is about $40-50$ (including food and Transportation).
-If you have car , extra 500$ per parking.
- Example: Savings are $6000(salary)-$1200(TAX)-$1200(housing)-$1200(daily expenses) = $2400 .

In India, (Approximate numbers)
-Wages : $2500-$3000 --above 5 yrs engineer.
-Taxes. approx 25%.
- housing : $400
- Living per month : $500 (including car maintance)

Saving : $2500-$600-$400-$500 =$1500. In india, saving 1500 is much more than saving $2400 in Japan.

Regards,
Sam
