what are the differences between cpld and fpga.

fpga vs cpld

Why don't you use the "Search" button .
There are at least ten topics addressing this question on this Forum.

cpld vs. fpga

The main difference in application between CPLD and FPGA is that FPGA is used for application requiring lots of registers.

cplds vs fpgas

the main diff between cpld & fpga is in their architechture.
The fpga uses ROM every time switched ON, ot get programmed becaz the programme is actually stored in ROM. But in case of CPLD the programme is actually stored in it.
FPGA is mostly used for "LOOK UP TABLE", while CPLD is used for structural modelling.
Hope you have got satisfactory ans.
Good luck

difference between fpga and cpld

the big two difference between them:
1. FPGA has RAM.
2. FPGA has PLL.

There are CPLD's with both RAM and PLL's...

cpld and fpga from wikipedia

Architecture, wise,
FPGA's have Labs or CLBs and that means it is the main design prmitive. But here routng is easier less complex.

CPLDs they are complex in case of routing but better n resource economy.. and faster But tiresome design process
