ASIC design ?

what is ASIC design issue?
how implement ASIC?
what is criteria for designing asic?what is cost minimum?
give me link or material

ASIC design ?

ASIC == Application Specfic IC..
Design issues ae more or less the same as for normal chip design. But in this case, it may be affected by the user's ( person who demands) budget like cost , power , area etc.. U try to desgin based on all the constraints. Wherever possible, u trade of (eg. if u have less area, then u have to compromise on parallelism , ie, less functional units) and stuff like tht. Good IC design book, is Baker and Boyce.. Its 2 volumes . also Neil Weste is a good book
hope this helps!!

Re: ASIC design ?

ASIC design flow starts with writing your hardware in some language like VHDL or verilog and then synthesizing them in a technology specific library(mapping to cells) then you have to give specifications like setuptime,holdtime in your design and then run a place and route tool to finish your design.

You can refer the websites of asic eda tool vendors like cadence,synopsis and magma for further information on their flow.

ASIC design by john sebastian smith will be a best book for a beginner.

ASIC design ?

The ASIC is a Integrated Circuit, which have specific features, if you want learn about the ASIC you can read the follows books:

VLSI Engineering of Dillinger
and Basic VLSI Design of Douglas and if you speak spanish you can read Circuitos Integrados de Aplicacion Especifica ASIC

flip-flops?

as we all know that about flip flops, can any one tell me why 4 types of flip flop is used .and only one will not be sufficient.tell me any specific application where a specific flip flop is used.
