What are the applications of IFA (Inverted F Antenna)?

hello
i like this forum very much and am looking to find help here
iam working on IFA antennas using nec ... actually HFSS is not common here and it is brandnew ...
whatever ,, am wondering what are the applications of IFA not the printed neither the planar ...
cause am reaaly disappointed from all of this

Basically, the IFA is a "mutation" of a monopole antenna, and presents similar performance in radiation pattern and efficiency. The main difference is, of course, its low electrical profile in comparison with a same-frequency monopole antenna.

about appplications - basically, narrowband apps (~5%-10% BW), such as Wi-Fi antennas.

I think you will be able to find lots of data here in EDAboard, so just run a search on them.
