Re: What are pratical limits of flyblack input voltage range
It can work from 10:1 range.
But in low vin,the current will be very large,So the efficiency is terrible.
In high Vin,the duty is very small,So it difficult to control loop stability.
Re: What are pratical limits of flyblack input voltage range
you must consider wheither you are operating in continuous or discontinuous mode. cause this changes some of the math formulas involved. your current controls when flyback transfers from continuous to discontinuous. normally this is not a desired action, but it can be controlled if done properly. anyways, as your input voltage varies, your duty cycle changes to keep the output voltage constantly regulated. so practically your voltage limit is usually controlled by max duty cycle of control IC. the botom level of duty cycle is usually found when your flyback transfers from continuous mode to discontinuous.
