What are biasing circuits? All circuits involving transistors are called biasing circuits (or) circuits used to generate reference signals like BGR are biassing circuits?
I think what is meant by the general term biasing is circuits which generate:
- Reference voltage (bandgap or LDO)
- Reference current (current source and current sink)
- Current mirrors
Bias circuit sets DC operating points of devices. It is necessary to reach good linearity, or fast operating speed. A simple base resistor can be bias circuit. And all above are true, if you use the reference to activate a circuit with DC voltage/current.
