Hello, a friend is asking after a 230vac switching device that is operated when water is detected.

He has a bucket, when water comes into the bucket 2 wires get shorted and that then needs to switch on a pump (via a relay).

Can anyone suggest or link to such a circuit for use in the UK?

Thank you

Roland.

Browse a catalog distributor, e.g. Farnell.com for "LEVEL SENSING RELAY".

Thank you but I don't think he wants to spend £40-90+ on a relay when a simple circuit can be built.

I'm thinking of detection using 2 probes, into a sense circuit that then turns on/off a relay, all in a box made out of existing bits he may already have.

hi
