w patch = w feed or less?

if the patch have a same width with feeder, is it can be still as a patch?
for some substrate thick there has no ground on back side, and add a shape on same side with conductor, how it be same function of groundplane, is it CPW structure but have different formula to calculate feeder width

The feed width should be 3mm if you are using a SMA connector. The SMA connector has 50 ohm impedance so there be impedance matching. by using 3mm microstrip feed you will get approximately 50 ohm impedance.:|

I have question for matching to sma it is always the feeding width 3 mm if I design in layout for any types of antenna

How you can calculate this width 3 mm
