Voltage-Velocity and Force-Current Analogies

force voltage analogy

While studying control theory, I came across the following two phrases:
1) Voltage-Velocity Analogy
2) Force-Current Analogy
3) Force-Voltage Analogy

Could someone pls enlighten me what do those mean?

voltage velocity

The information path in the control system process inputs (e.g. voltage applied to an electric motor) have an effect on the process outputs (e.g. velocity or torque of the motor)..........

This is the Voltage---Velocity Analogy..........

similarly the Force----Current.....etc analogy can also be performed...........

I thought it's something to do with 'electro-mechanical analogies'... may be someone could help to verify the comments made by rakesh... thanks.
