voltage across resistor

My 2c on this weird issue is this:
If in the question your teacher used the words "ideal voltage source" then the answer should be "BIG BANG" as you expose infinity against infinity ..
If, however, there was nothing mentioned about "ideal .." the answer could be "I don't know, tell me about the internal impedances of each of the voltage sources" ..

I have got soem concept wrong...

But IanP, you ought to tick one thing or the other in a competitive exam...or you lose marks...What should yahaa have ticked ?
